I spotted these by the motorway just south of Prague! I'm still at a loss as to their purpose other than works of art put in place during the Russians before the velvet revolution.
They don't seem to be maintained by anyone.
Please excuse the quality, these were taken in 2003 with my old digicam.
Any clues anyone?

Check out the dodgy loaded truck on this one, that was a hair raising drive!

This was some sort of fountain in a small town called Jicin 50miles NE of Prague.

You've got to take your hats of the the commies. They know how to make concrete look good.
 
I love this stuff. Is the second from bottom pic meant to resemble a ships hull?
The other stuff looks like a square fruit bowl and a bent staple!
