I passed this building on my way to work, but a colony of gypsies have been in the car park forever.
They even had a little horse tied to the lampost.
As soon as they were gone, I was in there!
The place was completley trashed on the ground floor and poo everywhere, gyppo dogs and horse. Yuck.
Upstairs, offices were still intact and paperwork from 2002 ish.
I've been told since, that they relocated to bigger premises and it was for the BP Foinaven oil field project [prounced Fin-haven]
"Foinaven is located in blocks 204/19 and 204/24a, which are operated by BP Exploration. Shell UK Exploration and Production is the co-venturer. These blocks lie some 190km west of the Shetland Islands, in a water depth of between 400 and 600m. Recoverable reserves are estimated to be in the region of 250 to 600 million barrels of oil.
The project is being carried out as a phased development. The first of these is based on the recovery of 200 millions barrels within the Foinaven field."
