Locals might recognise this place, the original John Summers building (Deeside, North Wales), which had its centenary last year.
Its still in use, but mostly empty now. I must point out I had permission to do this and it still an operational building. I only took a wander round the more interesting parts, the other parts of the building are general 60's offices and occupied.
Main entrance
Moving inside is the old reception area. With an old safe, waiting room and access to the remainder of the building, and some wonderful architecture.
Inside upper reception, stained glass window
Stair core in reception
Reception - apparently these tiles are listed
Overkill for a stationary cupboard?
On to the upper levels, unfortunately mostly locked. On the 1st level were some general offices with views over the rail bridge & the dee. Onto the next level and the 2 directors flats but again these are also kept locked. There was a rather sparkly loo though
Offices - locked
Over the Dee
Loo
Next level - Directors flats - no access!
Stairs to upper workings
Making our way up the loft stairs, it leads to an uninspiring tank room, with an access ladder to the next level
Up the ladder to the next level and we found ourselves in the inner workings of the clock tower
One more ladder and we find the final level
And then there's the views
Bus shelter??? Apparently there's access from the directors flat to here - more of a 'rooftop terrace'
Concerned I'm throwing too many photos at the report, more can can be found at

Think my pics might be oversize, I'll get it right next time - honest!
Cheers
