The old service station just off the A1 at Stannington, now completely demolished. These shots are from back at the start of summer (which seems a long time ago now!!)

Yes. The whole site is now a flat surface of crushed bricks.

I work just down the road from this place, I must have driven past it a million times (well, a lot anyway). I had the impression that there was someone living beside this place, wasn't there a bungalow or something attached to it? I certainly remember a caravan.

Never did explore it so it's nice to see some pics! Thanks for posting !
