Spotted this t'other week when me, Sal and the little'un were watching planes and gliders coming and going at RAF Syerston, didn't have time to look at it then so made a return trip to Lincs. to hit a few places.

Can't tell you a great deal about it, the place is pretty wrecked but made for a decent mooch for a couple of hours before we went off to RAF Swinderby to have a look at the control towers there. Pics.

Now, at one point we heard voices inside, not entirely sure if they were pikeys/security/local vagabonds we hid. Then got bored of hiding and went back in. Spotted this brightly dressed lady and her friend wandering around outside. :)

Well you aren't supposed to use toilet paper if you are Islamic, so it is possibly some sort of sink/bidet arrangment.

Some nice pics, I think i would have tucked into a tin of raviolli.

Halal ravioli :p

the islamic artwork and writing is so beautiful, shame its being left to decay like that :(

I agree, it is a beautiful form of writing. Tried teaching myself once, after hitting a wall trying to learn Hebrew. very tough stuff indeed.

This has been on my to do list for awhile, good to see some recent pictures from it. :)

Really enjoyed it here, twas a very relaxing explore. I can't find any info on the place either, apart from the charity who owned the school, decided to close it amidst claims of money not being used for what it was given for. So they closed this, moved everyone to Manchester and opened up again.

Anyway, here's a few pics from me. :)

Cheers,

It's odd to find a squat toilet anywhere in the UK, & it looks like it's been there a while looking at the tiles around it.

Maybe it was for slopping out or emptying mop buckets?
