HOPE YOU ENJOY!!!

I think they look pretty hideous personally, not a big fan of overcooked HDR at all.

I'm not sure I understand the gas mask either, I know it was a dirty hospital but that's taking it a bit far! ;)

This place looks really good. Pics are a bit over-processed for my liking........but a good set nonetheless :)

hey thats cool appreciated your opinion, as for the gas mask just abit of a laugh really, thought it made for a nice creepy shot + two birds with one stone for the asbestos

you do know the filters in the some of the Russian masks can contain asbestos right [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_mask[/ame] scroll down to section may be worth removing the filter

Does anyone know if it was every refered to as an asylum. I know its of a colony layout but all my info on it say it was Barrow Mental Hospital from 1938 to 1955 and then just Barrow Hospital.

It's amazing that it seems more popular now than back in late 2007/early 2008 when the other 2/3rds of the place were still standing. Mind you it was so characterless back then where as the decay has given it a much more photogenic appeal now.

I presume they are planning on keeping the woodside block, given the other remaining bits are just awaiting the final bats to move out of.

Good work Cub

Still looks like it did at the end of oct lol. The pics are over done (IMO) and don't show a true representation of the site. I like the gas mask effect though and the one sitting in the chair with the chairs is pretty cool.

Far too much HDR for me, but each to their own :)

Not sure about the gas mask shots either

My eyes. They bleed.

But if you like them that's all that matters.

way beyond hideous in it's own category.

I loathe with a burning, seething passion anything but the most subtle of HDR (if you can tell it's HDR it's overdone) and also loathe fisheye lenses and their effects, so a twofer on this one for me.

I'm off to bleach my eyes and clear the vomit from the floor.

still thankfully we are all different , with different tastes (or lack thereof :p)

hey its a different take on barrow, i guess its more about the explore than the photos as its not a photography forum

HDR is not to every ones tastes and to be fair i dont mind some of the very mild HDR and i guess not every one will like the over done shots, each to there own but nice one for getting out there and having a look

as for the gas mask......would fit right in with a chernobyl set
