Bletchley Park - G & D Block
November 2017
Bletchley park was an interesting one. My first experience here is not a great one,
i decided to do this explore alone and got attacked by a group of teens. luckily a few bruises was all i come out with. However i returned a few days later with a friend who knows his way around both blocks and it turnt out to be the best explore ive done too date. We entered via Block G around 5pm, the first thing i noticed was Block G had been completely gutted. Broken windows, doors torn off. we made are way up some stairs to access a ladder that led to the boiler room from there we was able to access the roof and snap a few pictures. we eventually climbed back down and walked through the rest of G block enjoying decay. after about an hour we made are way over to D block trying to find an access point. this consisted of us climbing through loads of windows that lead to locked rooms in D block only granting access to them rooms. In one of the dead ends rooms their was a noose just casually hanging their giving that room a more sinister feel. once inside it was like stepping into a time capsule each room held a key to my town history.
A fair few rooms have just been dumped with boxes i guess for storage as i know they are renovating the historic building. However while rumaging through some boxes i managed to stumble onto some paperwork with the enigma code on it!. after a few hours looking around we stumbled across the bombe machine. it blew my mind to think that the machine that helped end ww2 quickly was in front of me. when we eventualy climbed out it was 9pm
i will be returning in jan with my gopro to document the whole thing.
