Recently bought a new Nikon D7200, so decided to visit Bridon Wire's Ambergate manufacturing plant, abandoned around 1999.
Only had time for the large spinning shed, which has been opened since we last visited in March.
More or less stripped of all machinery.
Place is popular with local graffiti artists, who come and practice in this wide open space.
The factory is basically a large warehouse, and there is one side room which is full of lockers.
At the northern end a dividing wall separates the factory from the loading bay.
Trenches made for bathing the wire in have now overflown with water, and poor drainage means a large area is swampy.
Thanks for reading!
