went here over a year ago and loved it, not a great deal changed but good to get back and also good to get splooooorin' again!!! ive not been anywhere in ages

Did you explore the Polo?
I like that place, it's pretty trashed in parts but there are wee intact pockets.

Is this actually the University of Derby (Buxton Campus)? I'm a bit confused!

It is the old Harpur Hill College which was taken over by Derby Uni. The Uni has now moved to the old Devonshire Royal Hospital in the middle of the town.

Harpur Hill College

I went to this college in the 80's, before most posters were born I suspect. I was heartbroken and shocked to see the state of the place, the rooms where i stayed and the classrooms I was taught in. Its amazing and saddening to see this. Why has nothing been done to redevelop/secure this site???

That pottery room looks very bare now. I'm sure that room at cupboards in the middle of the room with table type tops that they worked on. When we went there were loads and loads of stuff in there, where's it all gone to?
