Visited this site today, in response to this thread, it was good to finally see this place for myself, having seen a good few reports on it 
Explored with BenCooper (good to meet you) and Escortmad
I won't go into too much history, as it's been done often enough before, suffice to say the mill was built in 1914 ( I thought bit's looked older, but there you go ) and finally shut it's doors in August 2003, costing the town 150 jobs. However, some 'enterprising' folks are managing to earn some cash from the site, stripping it of all scrap and copper, swigging Buckfast merrily as they do so

Huge monitor - the 'Coke' bottle is 1.5ltr, to give an idea of scale :

Loved the skylights and the big fans in this building :

Ace giant spaces, with iffy floors

And again, loved the roof construction here
