I'm sure this has been asked many times before and if I'm being redundant I humbly apologize in advance xD.
Basically looking for a camera to do some urbexing with. Currently of meager means so going to have to cap the budget at ~£75 for the time being.

As a relative novice in the general field of photography I defer to your collective experience and knowledge as to where to go for a first time Camera. Second hand is fine, and links to Ebay/Amazon etc would be welcome and gratefully accepted.

Again I apologize if this has been covered before.

Peace

If you go second hand you shouldn't need much more to get a budget SLR. Then you can upgrade lenses as and when you want, you won't need a new camera! :)
There are loads of decent compacts tho, just stick with the major brands.

Welcome mate, 75 quid is plenty for a good compact to start you off. I spent around a grand last year on a set up I'm really struggling to use! My last report I did using my phone as I gave up with camera that cost more then my last holiday! And all the comments I've had have been fantastic. Really look at what you need the camera for rather then what it can do as I've found to many settings means leaving it in the car!! Keep safe and enjoy GF

With 75 squid I'd go for a mid range compact - small enough to fit into a pocket and with just enough welly to take half decent pics with, which is ideal for splorin. But as said earlier, stick with well known, trusted makes. It all depends how far you want to go with photography, if you find you really want to persue it you'll soon outgrow a compact with its' limited functionality and manual settings. So if you do jump in at the deep end, a used DSLR on fleabay is the way to go, esp with future lens purchases as an option. Good luck.
