Cool stuff, nice to see one of the classic old skool explores again!

ive been out of it for a while now, be really cool if i could tag along with some guys to find my feet once more.

I miss the days of exploring.

As soon as I heard about this place last year and searched the internet for it, I knew it was one of those places I really wish I'd seen. Great to see some more pics of the place although those look like they were takern much closer to demolition out of all the ones I've seen, a lot more graffiti etc.

Apparently the wall topped with glass was a pre-Severalls fence ball shredder lol

never come across a wall topped with glass myself? i imagine that crept up on you quickly :(

The place stunk of a musty dusty smell and really got to you throat, always felt rough for a few days after, probably asbestos:confused:

When i was going there and that was often it was a place for practical jokes and kids setting fire to it, shame but thats how it going i guess

Wall topped with glass is still there! At the time when I first entered, some sections were quite blunt, so you were probably unlucky. There were easy alternatives to jumping over it though - simply climbing over one of the gates! Later on it was surrounded by a sheet metal fence, but this too did not last.

Yes, a shame it is gone. Having visited first in 2001 and lastly in 2006, weeks before the bulldozers came in, it was sad to see the progression of "unnatural decay". Nothing like the halcyon days cited in "The Shrine". Now half of it is "luxury" houses and apartments. The last time I looked in the other half of it was still lain waste, probably because the developers were waiting for property prices to rise. As a result of the demolition, the visual amenity of the area is much improved though, it has to be said.

Anyone got any information on Taplow Lodge which was very close by? Used to be one of the nurses residences but they all left without warning one night and never went back to the place, I know ghosties and stuff aren't a great thing to discuss on here (I do have interests in them) but it was apparently a very haunted building, also now demolished...

Gutted I never got to see this, a good friend of mine kept reccommending it but by the time we got around to it, it was gone! Thanks for the photos

Was so close to us it was always worth visiting and seemed like we always found something new.

I miss it really
