I have written this report for two reasons, first of all to mark 5 years since this trip. Secondly to share another pre-squibbs/English Partnerships take on what used to be an exciting and adventurous ruin.

Visited with Jondoe of Sub-Urban.com and Nutbolt of nobodythere.co.uk.

After meeting at around mid-day and deciding on a rough plan of action, we were inside and shortly found our way into Faraday ward. JD and Nutbolt had not been inside the Hill before, and were quick to take in their surroundings. We didn't hang about and were soon in the vast corridor network.

As we made our way to the heart of the hospital, we passed a few areas that reminded us how long the place had been shut, even stray animals had long since passed away.

We came past the kitchens, and with the chapel standing proud above the shell of the main hall, we decided to head in.

Once we had experienced the serenity of the chapel, we carried on, in a slightly illogical order. First was the patients canteen, Mapother ward, the ruin of cruden and into the art room.

This was followed by Lidgett and Lettsom, and then a short way away was the Laundry. From there onwards was virtually all new territory (at the time), with the exception of Vanbrugh and Vincent, and a brief excursion into the one accessible side of admin.

Enjoy the pics. It was a good trip.

Many thanks for all the replies. I am always glad to share my photos and experiences if they are of value to other people.

Damn good stuff

Most of these shots are totally new to me..its good that you got in and recorded these way back when..a full year before I got into this hobby.Thanx for sharing them.

Cor blimey guvna! Just when I thought I'd seen all of ya pics from the Hill, you come up with this excellent set. Some new areas I'd never seen before, as well as some different perspectives from some better known places.
Thanks for posting these up :)
