Finally!

Visited yesterday with Laura the explorer, and two noobs picked up loitering around the perimeter fence, so we offered to show them round.

I'm really glad to have ticked it off the list before it gets completely demolished. Its mad how much has already gone!

Tried to capture something different than the usual, also didn't have my tripod which meant most photos were a bit blurrred For me though, Getting in and enjoying it was more important, wasn't too bothered about the pics.
Anyways, heres a selection for ya'll
The journey starts here :)

Enjoy :)

I never tire of seeing pics from here. I love the pics of the chapel, and like th peeling paint, and the coridor shots. I like all of the pics. And love the first pic as the intro, and the last pic as the end of the visit.

Excellent pics, I very rarely use a tripod, except when i'm in a drain, when i have to lol. But when I'm out exploring in general, never, ever use a tripod.

Like all the angles of the pics too. I don't like seeing places with pics taken from exactly the same angle. Love the dentists equipment shot too.

Cheers,

:) Sal

Tops stuff Tucks :)

The second shot is a cracker, as is the Dentist's and half collapsed corridor pics. As Sal says, there is always something new to see at the Hill. They sure aren't hanging about with the demo :(
Nice work matey.

I think you have achieved your goal more than adequately. Really nice to see your photos. Looks like you had a great trip.

Cool pics tucker:) looks like they are really moving quickly to destroy the place, I was hoping the slow in the house market and the "credit cruntch" would chuck a spanner in the works:(

Is Cane Hill being totally demolished, or are some bits to be saved????
PS....There are some mint Revo 8875 on some areas Simon(got to be saved):)

The chapel and admin are listed and will be saved, as will the water tower due to its significance to local history :)
The rest is all getting flattened

Ah good ole Cane Hill, It's always good to see pics from this place. Wasn't aware that demolishments had already begun. Looks like I'll never get to see it in person!

Nice exlpore, great pics. Cheers!

Another thing that was delaying demolition was re removal off all the asbestos, which was present in large quantities.

Yeah thats far from finished. We only covered one side of the hospital, and the strip out had already begun in some places. Dont know what the case is on the other side, but i know that they have started on the water tower for sure.
