not a very eventful day due to my escort from west park but managed to pop to st ebbas and cane hill as well. nowt left at the last 2.

whilst waiting for the rest of the pics to upload have some of cane hill. i had a good poke around the changing room this time as discovered 2 scary mangle type things. anyone have any idea what they would have been? the one in the male changing room seemed to have a heat button on it.

Some key parts of St. Ebbas are still there. These include admin block, water tower and engineering.

As for the mangles, it is quite easy to work out that they were for ringing out swimming costumes.

Nice shots though.

i never thought about swimming costumes. der! its so obvious now you mntion it.

i darent leave my car at st ebbas, esp after spotting one of the bloes as i drove in who was with mr security @ WP when i got my escort so i just drove round briefly and grabbed a couple of shots from the car.

all my west park pics are on this link inc from prev visit : http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v89/AnthillMob/West Pak 1/

st ebbas now loading. not very exciting though.

A stirrup pump was a useful thing for fighting fires, I'm guessing that painted notice was an ARP instruction.

I've seen a few photos with signs stating EWS (Emergancy Water Supply) and a distance, from WWII but never removed.
