This is my first report feedback would be lovely good or bad!

This site i thought was a hotel but i was shocked when we went in to find it was a NHS care home of some kind.

did a little research couldnt find much but what i did find was
This a two-storey, period building which has been
extended for use as a care home.
The site has a driveway and parking area fronting The Bristol Channel
alongside a level garden area laid to lawn with mature and
semi-mature trees.
As one of the Brandon Trust’s larger homes, This Site
has been closed as part of the Trust’s strategy to provide
residential services within a more domestic scale.

In its current arrangement the accommodation comprises 16
bedrooms with communal areas and storage facilities,
including kitchen and laundry, living and dining areas, WCs,
showers and a disabled WCs.

One sad point is that metal theifs had beaten us to it and made a massive mess!!!

please feedback.

What was down in the basement?

Nothing wrong with that for a first post. Good idea with the voting buttons too.

OK, more wide shots, less flash, more tripod and torch lit images.

But that will come with time. The point is you are getting out there, which takes president over the quality of your images! Exploring 1st, worrying about images second!

This report seems familiar...

Agreed, thats what I'd say too mate.

This is a forum for derelict places, and yours is a derelict place, and while I agree people on here do produce some fantasic, amazing, awe inspiring photos of places this isnt a photography forum.

My photos will never be 'professional' but I'll continue to post, and hopefully get better at taking pics at the same time :) I'd hate for anyone to be put off posting just because they feel their photos are not up to any particular standard.

Good work, have looked at this before in past and always given it a miss. That'll teach me :D

Don't worry what others say or think, you've been out and done something and that all that matters :)

RE: History - it was a private care home up and till about 2008/9 when it closed. The current owners are trying to redevelop into a residential site but this incurs a change of use and have had problems with planning permission - mainly to do with lack of parking spaces provided and nearby opposition (not in my back yard)

Ace first report, I voted at the time but forgot to comment! Looks like it would have been alright in it's time, not TOO institutionalised.
Shame it's been trashed, but at least some nice details remain.

Those baths cost a fortune...
I recently designed a care scheme with slightly more dependant baths (transcare) I called them 'Lambo baths' as they had 'gullwing doors'! Lol, it appears they were priced by lamborghini too!

gettin out and abouts the main thing....practise and experience comes from doing just that, we all had to start from that point:)
