After the Farmhouse me and Wagg came across this Wood Merchants...

We moved on from the main house to a storage barn and Workshop, where we came across loads of stored ledger books and job books ... look at the cool dates!!!...

The whole store shed was full of these, a mix of Account books, materials used prices e.t.c, dating from 1985 back to 1935!

Access to upstairs. Wagg managed to go up but there was nothing special to see apart from loads of stored drainpipes!

We then moved on to what was once obviously a large Workshop, once housing Machinery e.t.c but know silent...

The jokes get worse mate - don't give up the day job. Anyhoo nice place you found there BS and a nice peice of history in those ledgers
 
nice one Shucky,wouldnt it be interesting to visit some of the jobs in the ledgers to see if anything has lasted!! :)
 
Nice find, Shucky. The most incredible bit for me are the hand-made nails. My Dad was a toolmaker for a fishing tackle factory, and he used to make his own DIY stuff, including nails like that. I don't have the nails, but I still have two hammers and some files that he made, which have that same kind of look about them. :mrgreen:
The ledgers are great too...love the coppeplate handwriting.

Thanks a lot Foxy. I really liked this plac a lot. It was one of those explores where you open the door and you can smell the dereliction if you know what I mean?:)
