Was working as usual this morning, and have been looking at this place for a while so thought I would pop in and have a look, its great the places I can get into with my wagon, and no one asks you any questions.

That's really interesting. I live near an old Cemex cement works and quarry. The layout is very similar, particularly the conveyer going down the sloping tunnel.

I gueass all these places must be built to some sort of pattern.

yep, one here in Coalville too and yeah, it looks the same here as well.

yeahp coalville has some good looking holes!

wales also has some awsome quarries, when we were doing a job near aberdovey we had togo pick up some slate from one and there must of been 20 old trucks sitting waiting to be buried under slag :( real old old trucks foddens and bedfords

love these sorts of sites heavy plant , mud, smell of concrete in the air ahhhhhhhhhh

sheep you running a tin bath or a can on your waggon ? or is it the wee toy hilux :p:lol:

not good places to go when it's really wet though. That cement slurry sticks to yer boots like glue.

Would love to know a little bit more about this ! Did you get any pics of them ? And who owned the quarry ? Was it Tarmac ?
