Poolie Girls already done a nice bit of history in here report, so briefly: Cerebos is a derelict salt works site situated in Greatham, a small village just off the A689 near Hartlepool. There has actually been salt extracted from this site since 1894 with Cerebos taking control in 1903. Centura Foods bought the site in the 70s and began producing chutney for Sharwood's before it finally closed its doors for good in 2002.

**** knows what this was, not a swimming poor surely. We came up with the theory that they put milk in and stirred it.....not sure why but if anyone else has any better ideas, answers on a postcard please!
