So basically I'm wondering what people's tactics are when it comes to out and about. Do you camo it up or goin normal civi clothes. Or be unusual and be blatant with hi vis, hard hats etc...

each site is different and it depends on weather etc but ive not heard of anybody wearing a ghillie suit to go urbexing

Totally depends on the situation. This time of year I do this:

Sometimes Hi Vis:

Dress for the weather, TBH just looking a bit like a walker will deter most people from questioning you in rural situations.

Fleece and hard wearing trousers, tend to blend in anywhere, never go in shorts, I did and regretted it !

Some good variety there:lol: loving the Santa suits ;) I've personally got my outfit down, black dickies combats ( nice and hardworking) some old Railtrack polo tops, for the same reason. My German army boots, black trench coat and occasionally, my hi vis for the building site stuff.

I have a German military camouflage jacket which I find actually does come in handy when ducking down in overgrown areas... Just this morning I was in the back garden of what turned out to be a totally sealed house, and when a neighbour came to their window I just blended in with the brambles... :)

On sites which are active or on building sites, a hi-vis jacket and hard hat are the ultimate credibility props. When I first climbed a crane (not a derelict place, I know), I just wandered through an unlocked gate, and then left my props at the base of the crane.

If you wear full camo you look even more suspicious if the place you're attempting is in a busy city centre.

But whatever floats your boat.

There's a couple of threads of clothing & equipment including THIS one so I'm going to close this thread save repeating things...
