Opened in 1893, this colliery employed over 300 men at its peak before closing in 1964.
The former colliery was then used as a pumping station between 1968 and 1988.
There's not much left of the site except the winding house and capped mine shaft, but if like me you enjoy anything mining related its well worth a visit.
