The History
The history has already been covered in the other report so I’ll quickly tell you that this is the power station for the complete site and at its time of use was gas fired and generating 753 MW. It opened in 2002 and run by Coryton Energy Co Ltd. Inside the site there were originally 5 turbines, all from various manufacturers although only 4 exist now

We knew there was a power station on site and guessed it was located under the two white chimneys we could see slap bang in the middle. We made our way in that direction avoiding the beady eyes of secca who were driving all over the site. We walked into the bottom of the building and felt kinda let down until we climbed the stairs and found the turbines, crane and control room. The place was covered in bird poo but was great. We had a bit of a climb on the crane to get some pics, and then made our way to the substation.
As always please enjoy the pics
