Hi All
This was the mission for out last day of the hot as hell road trip to Plymouth, we went to Cremyll fuel depot last time but did not get to see the underground area, I can`t understand why there are no reports of this place on the net, I`m not even sure it part of the coastal Cremyll fuel depot.
Thanks to HughieD for some gen and poss location - you were spot on mate (we missed one tank only just found out).
If anybody knows anything about this place please let us know......
Tank porn coming up.
In the valve room.
Oh look a big dark hole - It would be rude not too..
At a guess the structure in the middle is a fuel oil heater, so the oil can be pumped in and out of the tanks - as heavy fuel oil is as thick as a whale omelette.
Inside tank number 2
There is plenty of old "stuff" about like valve heads, heater pipe heads, massive tank lids, winches.
At the bottom of the site is this building, we are guessing it has something to do with the fuel oil depot but what is not known (post pump house, power house).
And just up in to the woods a little more is this place - you might of seen just one picture of this, it`s a straight tunnel about 100 yds long with another wall inside.
That sports fans is that.
Thanks for looking and all comments are most welcome if you can be arsed.
There are more shots of the fuel depot on my FlickR site so head on over too:-
