After we’d left The IrisHotelrooftop most of the group went back to the hotel, leaving GPS Jim, Mr Dan, and myself to try some riskier roofs. A lot of tram and taxi rides, and some really sketchy roofs later we arrive at the 36 Storey ‘Crown’ building. It’s a live apartment block with an intercom. We buzz some random flat number and a weary voice answers.
Andrey confidently pipes up “У меняестьпиццудляквартира 74, ноонинеотвечают, можетвымне в?”
(I have a pizza for Flat 74, but they're not answering, can you let me in?)
...and we’re in!
Climbing the final few service stairs around the rooftop plant
Then at the summit, we were faced with ‘The Crown’ which serves no purpose other than decoration!
It was actually quite nice inside the crown, shielded from the strong wind and rapidly dropping temperature:
