On my way to an installation today I spotted this bulding looming up out of the gloom. I just had to investigate.

These mills are in a lovely small town called Delph and have been closed for around seven years, it will soon be flats according to the locals who came and chatted to me.

Although the site is quite big, access to the main mill took ages to find as it's been well secured, I thought it had beat me

Hope you enjoy :thumb

thats really nice to see with the maachines and some wool and materials still n place!!!

might have to take a looks! not much sign of piking or chav damage either

That's Bailey Mill, aka Mallalieu's. Seems to have been a bit of water leakage since I went. Access was easy as the pikeys had just been and stripped the place, since then it's been secured properly as the owners saw the pics on my website!

Hi Andy, mate this was back in early January. It had been securely nailed shut.

Just digging through and re-ordering my photobucket and thought I would share em :)

It's a good 'un this place, I did it last year. Did you get into the basement, there are some HUGE machines down there? I think Bungle used to work here a few years back too. Good stuff.

TnM :)
