Just come across this place while I was searching for another farmhouse on my list.
Not much left really and no history that I could find, Although the house next door is still occupied.

What it looks like is an old stable block with a house attached, no access to the house thou :(

Spot on. The stables and yard were for the plough and cart horses that worked the farm before 'Mr Fordson' appeared on the scene. The ploughman/horse handler lived in the cottage. The place was beautiful and shipshape when I last saw it in 1960 - was on a regular cycle training run we used to do. (was fit and into time trials in those days with Donny Wheelers).

Thanks for the info, the full set of pics can be seen on my flickr page.
This "Mr Fordson", is that the guy who lives in the next house?, Got a bit of shock when I looked thru the window and saw a TV on and a guy sitting in a chair !!!! I also peered round the back and there was a border collie wandering about.

Seriously dude, hardly covering yourself in glory talking about peering at people through the windows of their homes. Please keep stuff like that off the forum.

Sorry about that, I only looked thru the window as next door looked abandoned as well, the outside was all over grown and run down. Wouldn't do it normally, the guy didn't see me as he had his back to me.
