Derelict Farmworkers Dwelling Near Grove - Oxon

I came across this derelict farm workers dwelling whilst exploring another near by site. It appears to have been empty for many years judging by the décor and internal fittings. The shots were taken in April 2010.

Very difficult to get an external view due to the dwelling being surrounded by trees

How they used to cook, bake bread and heat the water in the good old days

I assume this is where the fire was lit for the oven

Kitchen fireplace and mantle piece

Flue damper for putting out the oven fire

All the rage at one time in history - lino design

Metal single glazed window - condensation would have been rife

The living room with an open fire and abandoned furniture - someones had the fire surround away

What a lovely little place, love the fire and really old cooking facilities, and the wallpaper, and the windows. In fact, This is the t ype of place I'd love to be able to buy and renovate and live in. i love these old cottages.
