derelict school in Orkney - July 2011

Here is a derelict school which was found in Hoy, Orkney islands. This school does not have a name, so I cannot name it I'm afraid. I sure hope you like the pictures though... maybe a little research and we may be able to get a name for this derelict school.

WOW what a find, cant believe how bad the outide looks, as if its been empty for years yet inside there is no sign of vanalism, even the chairs are stacked and the pots and pans still there all in a tidy pile .... LOVE IT!!

It is nice to see that it hasn't been trashed, although the outside has probably seen better days! Great report and photo's!

I'm from Orkney, and think this is the old "North Walls" school. Will ask about and will post back with an answer. Cool pics. I joined a while back but have been a lurker til recently, hope to add pics of something in the near future.

I'm not surprised that school is disused now, there's hardly a soul on Hoy anymore is there?

About 300 I think, enough to keep the new school going (only just though I imagine).
