Saw some closed threads on this site that were very interesting.
My best mate was a Co-Director at the site up until it's closure and I visited the site when it was bought by his company L.C.C. Ltd that used to be on the old Courtaulds Site at Spondon, Derby.
The closure of a very good business was due to EEC Environmental Legislation.
They were expected to have effluent that was cleaner than the incoming water supply from a natural spring a feat they managed but then the EEC reduced the Iron contents to limits that could not be achieved without getting a water supply from Seven Trent. The cost of doing this was not viable so the site closed and the property sold to owners who parted with the site less than a year later.
