Erpingham Union Workhouse Infirmary

Stumbled upon this on my travels.The workhouse and infirmary were built 1848-51 at a cost of £7,386. These shots are of the infirmary block as the main building was demolished in 1978. Unfortunately all ground floor access points are bricked up.

If this is the place I think it is, I had my eye on it too - but apparently the big man with the big dog is a permanent fixture on the site, so it's pretty much no go. Shame really, as it'd probably make for a nice explore.

Parts of the site are looked after,and there are lots of signs of life, such as an open cess pit that i nearly stepped into

The building itself is in a bad way.Have got pics on Photobucket with IMG codes but just cant post them. Not a clue what i am doing wrong

Cheers Hypo. I have been trying those instructions but I can only get one photo at atime, when I go back to retrieve the others the previous one has deleted!
