Met up with Penfold to see if we could have a look around a few locations - the Yes car credit place and megabowl.

We started out at Yes Car, in the lovely drizzle, and had a quick scout around, before moving for a look around megabowl. We had planned to just go out for a quick recce at YCC and Megabowl but we decided to go have a quick look at the Farley building on the spur of the moment.

Got there and stashed the car, being careful as there were a lot of boy racers in the car park out front and found an access point.

First thoughts on ground floor were 'let's go up to the roof and work down'. Got to the nice skinny spiral staircase - warning, some cunningly placed fire hoses here! and made our ascent.

Anyway, had a quick look around, being unplanned had no cameras, just my mobile. Pics are a crappy. Sorry!

We did get the customary chair shots though!

Loads of languages on this can. One was even Korean I think. Oh the multinational wonder of abandoned crap.

Once again, sorry for the rubbish pics. Was my first proper explore. Cheers to Penfold for driving!

I genuinely could not believe the amount of tins in this place. Floors just full of them. Looks mental!

I'm definitely gonna have to go back in daylight to look around properly. May have to get a decent camera too! We were cautious as our torches were ridiculously bright and I didn't want to get busted 1st time out lol.

No photos of me having a cheeky wee in the corner then?:lol:

No photos from me unfortunatly as when we got to the top, I relised I had left my mobile in the car... well done dork!

A building ive always wanted to have a look into for a long time. Access is very easy if you look in the right places, a few make-shift ladders was found inside .

Ground floor is full of general crap, old car dealer roof top signs, price boards etc. next floor was just full of tins, amazing. I wanted to climb across but since I couldnt really use the maglite I decided for my safety it wasnt worth it. Next floor is where the infamous chair shot was taken, how the hell that got there I had no idea. Wanted to have a good look around but again, lack of light was hard to have a look around really. Roof top was good, a chance to have a sneaky pee in the corner and have a look at the old lift stuff.

Was an interesting night and great to meet Sneakk

lads do it in the day.
its alot better and easyer to climb over the cans.

when me and scrub did it many months ago alot of the cans and fire hoses was in place and not all over the floor.
but since then poeple have set a couple of the boxes that holds the cans on fire which has caused them to fall out and go all over the place.

if you want the cans with food in, its the 3rd floor far courner from the ladder.
give it a sniff, you know you want to! :)

also, if your feeling a bit brave try and get in to the hidden room, some more odditys in there.

also, your a bit late for the old boat and old car, they been towed away about 8weeks ago.

Bit of warning as well, dont do the building next door. all sorts going on in there and seen coppers down there a couple of times. i would not recomend unless there is a couple of going or you can handle your self.
god knows whos going to be in there.

i do like the roof at night up there.

It was a real spare of the moment thing to be honest.

We was planning on going back in the day.

Secret room eh? Where abouts was this... though we only had a quick gander to be honest.

I heard of rumours about a car being in there, where abouts was it and what car was it ? I was told it was a real classic. Wasnt aware of a boat being in there mind!

Oh and we had no plans to do next door! Sod that! Ive heard of wierd stuff going on aswell!

Hey Scotty,

Cheers. Yeah, tonight was literally just a quick look around as we hadn't even planned to go anywhere near it.

Deffo be going back very soon in daylight. Could smell the burnt stuff in there. Hmm, hidden room......

I take it that's hidden.

Lol

its not hidden its just hard to get to and if you do the place at night you wont see it.
so when you guys went it was hidden lol

it was a old truck parked just out side and the boat was kinda big.
had twin V8 engines in the back

i got pics somewhere. i'll dig the post out.

Cheers Scotty, Would of loved to of had a look at them! never mind.

It really was a spare of the moment thing, pure random explore!

Yeah the yard outside is Vospers. Have a suspicion they own the building based on the amount of their **** on every floor.

Boat and truck gone now, and a load of cans have been set free and all over the stairs. Hard to try and keep quietish climbing small spiral stairs covered in cans!

Can't wait til my next visit now. Pist I sold my camera a few weeks ago!

vospers say they dont own, so not sure who does.

vospers is shut down as part of the millbay redevolpment plan.

When I worked for Vospers i was reliably informed that that building was owned by Mr Vosper, the land anyway.

Vospers Millbay will be closing officially in a few weeks, staff being moved to marsh mills etc

You'd be surprised what he owns, and / or did own. Millbay 'was', practically, Vospers.

If that place didnt belong to them, it wouldnt have their crap on every floor.

Probably keeping it until some lovely flats can be built there and sit around not getting sold!

Wish i'd come out with you now, but had hell of a day my last job taking me 2hrs over my finish time at Plymouth Railway station :(

if your up for a day meeting, let me know i'll see what I can do
