Hello all. I have been intending to put up a report for a while, so here it is.
This report is a mixture of photos that I took on a visit in November and photos I took on a more recently. I am not sure 100% about the history, feel free to correct me.
The factory was built in the early 1800s, and mostly closed down in the 1960s, due to the owning company's failure to upgrade their machinery to more modern machines. The buildings were then used for a variety of different uses, including music studios, a prostitute outreach centre, offices and textile workshops.

Box of keys (I can't imagine why they needed so many!)

The prostitute outreach centre, which closed in 2007
A rather untidy prostitute outreach centre:

I have heard that the car repair centre was used to train local youths in useful skills as a
means of tackling the causes of crime.

(Interestingly, I got pics of a topless calendar from 1992 in one of the offices, unfortunately
photobucket doesn't allow that kind of thing

I'm not entirely sure which planet you were on when you thought it was okay to post personal information from the diary of a prositution outreach service... please don't post ANY kind of personal information like that again.

I quite like this place. It's severely knackered and looks pretty dangerous. Considering that your profile says you're only 4 years old, I'd say you did well here.

The machine in the workshop is a surface planer and thicknesser by the way, spent many happy hours on one of those!

Oh sorry, I didn't read the rules properly. It won't happen again.

Oh thanks. Well, I can assure you that I am not quite as young as my profile suggests
Well, some parts of it are quite decayed and vandalised, but there are other areas in great condition.
It is well worth a visit, but be careful :)
