Hi everyone,
My dad actually spotted this while we were walking to codnor castle to try out my new Sigma 10-20 :)mrgreen:)
We believe it may be to do with the opencast mine that used to occupy the site around Codnor Castle, it may have been used for vehicle maintenance, it certainly was not used for a cow shed, which is what it is now.

It is in quite decent condition structurally, but has had pigstys installed in one part, and the main part is a barn now. I managed to look around a few of the former office rooms in the few minutes I have here. The building is owned by the neighbouring farm and is on the edge of the farmyard. The whole farm including this building and notably the castle is for sale for around £150,000 I am told.
Here are my few pictures from the visit, I hope you like :)

Good Dye Mate?
There were quite a few of these there, I am wondering if they were bought from stevensons dyers as it closed

Wouldn't it be G'dye mate?

Looks good, i like the barn warehouse thingy, because its a brilliant shape and you've captured the lighting in it well. Nice one.

Ahhhh, I've just noticed your signature, same applies for me lol. What year are you in, 'cos it's exams atm and you should be revising revising revising :GEEK:

Thanks for the comment :)
I was in year 11, and I have a maths exam on monday, so yeah, I should be revising :p I did do some before my walk though, so I will be ok :)
I am still getting used to my new Sigma at the moment, but I do like the inherent capability of wideangles to allow handholding at really low shutter speeds

update

I've found out from a guy who knows the owner of this place, that it is not a coal board building, but at one time it was the most modern Dairy in Europe, it pioneered modern food production lines and has been partly used as a cow shed since it's closure around 20 years ago.
