The Newark Air Museum, just off the A46 near Newark showground, has a brilliant mock up ROC Post display, and a very informative write up on the history and purpose of the Royal Observer Corps, and is worth visiting just for that, but there are also a good few interesting aircraft to see close up, including a Vulcan, Lightning, Canberra, couple of Migs, indoor displays of aero engines, equipment Etc.
Definitely worth checking out if you're passing that way!

I see even their blue and yellow box has been half inched.

Am i right in thinking the grey box with a round speaker grille near the clipboard is an earlier version of the blue and yellow TT, anyone know?

They have a similar set up at RAF Manston (the museum not the spit hurr memorial) in Kent but its a view looking down in to the shelter. Quite interesting if your over that way:)
