A genuine abandoned church.
This weekend took me up to this part of Norfolk. Whilst there were fails on the way, I decided to check out this ruined church on route to another location, also another fail. I lost interest in abandoned churches at the start of this year. After this visit, i'll be visiting more again.
History: This church was built in two parts and the tower was added in 1450 with a delicately carved doorway and sound holes. It was kept in use as a mortuary chapel for a period of time after the new church was built in the 1880's to serve Fulmodeston and Croxton. The other church which also remains derelict, St John the Baptist served the neighboring parish of Croxton.
The tower is guarded by aggressive bees, the main part is guarded by silence.
