This is just down the road from where I used to live as a kid. I always played near here and wondered for years what it was like inside. Last weekend I finally found out, and it was waaaay better than I ever expected!!

Glenfaba Mill dates from 1850, still with its waterwheel, and in a picturesque setting next to the River Neb. Inside the mill is vast, spread over four floors, and amazingly still containing most of the original machinery. The mill produced oats, pearl barley and wheat.

Wow, that is in such good condition. I'm amazed at the amount of stuff left there...really good stuff too!
Fabulous place, Basement. Love it. :)
 
Agreed, that's an excellent find. Traditional oatmeal mills, with water power and grinding stones, are pretty rare nowadays.
