it seemed only polite to visit the beach below, where we found tank-traps, a pillbox, and a small emplacement :
Traces of steel shutters still extant :
Original steel door had survived
Tank-traps running down the beach :
The view from the emplacement - oddly the village was right in the line of fire
All the tank-traps had stones set in the tops
