More on the derelict Gloscat site in Gloucester...
The building was extremely well signposted, and getting lost would be difficult.
There were miles of corridors, and they were dingy, dark and damp.
I also stumbled across the Governors board room, a gorgeous oak panelled suite (excluding the dead pigeons)
This was the bit I was looking forward to; the Tower Block. Even though it is hideous on the outside, the rooms inside were well lit, had large windows and plenty of room. And the views across Gloucester were stunning.
Headmasters office! Considered pissing on the desk... nah!
We also found the lift machinery, still gleaming.
This was one of the star finds, a fully fitted lab.
Unlike the main foyer, the tower blocks foyer was dark, depressing and derelict.
We returned to the higher floors, and discovered someone had shot at some windows.
On the same floor, I stumbled across the Electronics labs, and this is what we found.
We ended up at the food tech kitchens, in remarkable condition compared to the rest of the building.
In a nearby room, probably in what was the English department, some scumbag had tried to burn the entire place down using some old Shakespeare. What a joker.
It was a great day out, and theres still more to see. In fact, I have since visited again and the tech rooms i discovered were HUGE. Also, got on the roof, but need to see the basement. Definitely one for the future; thanks Paskey!
