Yes, strange way to arrange the houses, I suspect it did not matter at the time the house was built in the good old days when the Black Country was black.
Shame most of the steelworks has gone.

The air shaft in the front garden is just mad! It looks so out of place. I wonder how an estate agent would describe a garden like that?
The old steelworks is great too. All overgrown now but you can still see signs of industry if you look. Love it.

Good report. Interesting to see what remains of the old Coombeswood tubeworks. The boats in the old photos were used for storing tubes rather than for delivering them by canal.
