Well I guess here goes for my first post and have to say have allot to learn.
But am looking forwards to doing so.
I explored alone on this one which I found great fun yet unnerving if I’m honest.
Grayling well was the psychiatric hospital for the western end of west Sussex.
It was designed by architect Sir Arthur Bloomfield and opened in 1897

Its History is well documented
Over the years, huge advances in the care of patients with mental problems led to the closure of the old asylums and the widespread controversial use of the care in the community.

It closed in 2001 and planning permission was granted to build 750 homes and related commercial and community facilities. Which is now in full swing?

Hi Thank you.. the pictures are very recent. A lot of the infill buildings have been knocked down and work has already started converting the remaining buildings. The only building remaining virtually untouched at the mo is the one i splored and the Farmhouse which dates back to the 18 centuary. So if you want to go you will have to be quick .:)

Big thumbs up JD
Well done for the solo as the buzz is top draw and allot more intense.
When Ur in that frame of mind you see things that otherwise ud miss.
Also know the place is busy with the ongoing conversion so fair play on getting in
Quality first post indeed

SK :)
