Nice work Matthew, nice to see the place again, I was under the impression the place was undergoing demolition. Nice masks by the way!:wacko:

Random collection of masks going on there!

Sorry to say, I am also not a big fan of the processing, but I wont knock you for it as its about individuality and posting photos in the way you want them to be viewed, so i shall say, thanks for posting them as its a place i have not seen much of.

You guys! If you came across any unwelcome visitors in those masks they would be straight off to the laundrette followed by a trip the the labour exchange to seek legitimate employment. :)

Quality......

In 1765, a workhouse was erected for up to 400 inmates at Hales. The large H-shaped building contained 83 "apartments" and was built by John Harris of Ipswich at a total cost of £8,300.
The building included an infirmary, a prison, and by 1766 a pest house for up to 20 "persons afflicted with the small pox or other infectious disorders" was erected at the east of the workhouse.
By 1835, the Heckingham workhouse had gained a reputation as being the most disorderly, inefficient and corrupt of the Norfolk Hundred workhouses. In the autumn of 1835, extensions and alterations were carried out at the workhouse in order to allow the classification and segregation required under the 1834 Poor Law Amendment Act.
In 1927, the workhouse was closed and the building converted into an institution for "mental defectives". After 1930, control passed to Norfolk County Council and the establishment was renamed Heckingham Institution. In 1948, it became part of the National Health Service as Hales Hospital which closed in around 1990.

Thanks very much for the history add-on addictedmedia. :)

Note to Matthewadams... please do NOT discuss access or security in the open forum and it would be nice if you did give some history, however concise in your report, otherwise it's just an exercise in photographic dexterity. As regards processing, I agree with aero... it's not to my taste but who's to say it's wrong if someone else doesn't immediately cream their proverbials when they clap eyes on it!

Thanks for posting Mat, sorry if I appear to be on your case. I'm not, honest! And if it makes you feel better I got several posts deleted when I first started in't forum!
