Hartford Mill

Hartford Mill in Oldham Lancs (Coton spinning1907-1959, then used as a mail order warehouse by Littlewoods until 1992) dominates its surrounding Landscape, creating an imposing views from many perspectives.

Oldham council do apparently have plans to convert the mill into apartments, but I would be surprised if it ever happens as the building is now quite badly decayed.

Love the pic with all the pillars looking from end to end. Do you have any history of the mill at all?

Just found this link with an application to convert it into residential apartments. Not due to start though till 2010.
