Hawthorn Lodge Care Home, Coventry Oct 09

I stumbled upon this place earlier this week and couldn't resist popping back for a nose around.

Hawthorn Lodge was a care home for the elderly, it closed recently, and is now about to be demolished.

The buliding, inside and out (other than the kitchens), is in excellent condition, probably due to the fact that it has not been empty for too long, judging by what I saw inside it closed around August / September this year.

It must be strange walking round such an untouched location like this.

No, it is mushed up ceiling tiles that have fallen onto the floor.
