First of all huge thanks to Concentration F for an excellent explore. Hellingly has been on my list for a while, and after 2 failed explores in Chichester we decided we may as well head off and try it.

Please excuse the dodgy quality of some of the shots - didn't take the tripod and we were trying to be quick.

Hope to return soon so to see the rest of the site, this time with a tripod :)

Very well done

Dont beat yerself up regarding picture quality...I used a tripod here and still blurred some!!! Admitedly its a crap tripod but I dont think one is ever truly pleased with all pics taken...I am returning here to re-do some, using different lenses/taking more time etc etc...I loved your first pic of Admin...this shot is one I need to do.
Cheers for the pics fella.

hello, I was just wondering if its safe to go alone?

quite a lot of dogdy floor, ( it is not very nice to fall down and lookn for a hand which doesnt exists :D ) heard a stories about copper collectors but dunno if they are dangerous and/or if they existing in that place :)

To be honest I wouldn't. You could if you kept it to daylight hours, and headed straight for the upper levels of buildings where the floors are concrete. When night falls and you have limited visibility, you run the risk of falling through some dodgy floor and getting stuck.

Personally I wouldn't do a place like that on my own, for safety sake and also just because it's a better experience.

cool, thanks for th advice! will have to wait..:( to be honest think i'd be too spooked to go alone!

I'm in the same boat as you, but I won't be able to do this until February or April next year. I'll probably be doing this as part of cycling old railway routes (this one being the cuckoo trail), so I'd thought I'd try and trace the hospital route as well as the main one and do the hospital then. It probably would have been a problem as I would have been going on my own and my Dad would go elsewhere (he doesn't like derelict places ) but its nice to know that I've (possibly) found someone to join me.
