Hellingly Hospital (East Sussex Mental asylum) Sep. 2008

Visited with Hydra, Scaphoid and Statler who are from the other dp
We had lovely weather for an afternoon wander around Hellingly. Enjoyed it despite the state its in. The main hall was awesome, and i was surprised at the fact it is still standing despite the fire demage and that hellingly is clearly a hit for vandals

Its a lot higher than you think from standing on the ground. The hole in the ceiling is handy though

Great report, i am surprised to see that building work hasn't progressed since earlier in the year - quite possibly on hold for the time being!

That staircase is just like the ones in the old block of my secondary school in London! That was built in 1909... Used to find massive beetles (cockroaches I expect) on those stair wells....

You can also get some GREAT views from the roof too!

But seriously Tucks, wouldn't blame you if you didn't go up higher -those roof beams are a bit bendy in places!
