Plenty of history about these already.

All that remains on this site is a lot of fence, and 5 rather large towers.

Thanks, it was well worth the trek.

Taught my mate "if you cant go over, you can always go under" :)

We got in dispite thinking we spotted security, only to find it was "rabbiters"

good pics mate. I love spending time at High Marnham. My 5 year old loves to shout stuff when under the cooling towers and hearing the echo lol.

Did you walk over the Fledborough Viaduct as well? That's a lovely walk, and you can get some great pics from both on it and at the sides. :)

Cheers,

:) Sal

Yeah, have to admit, we enjoyed the echo also :)

The last two shots are from ontop of the viaduct....bit harey getting down though with the ice lol.

Couple of perspective shots :)

by any chance was this where they filmed the car game show Full Metal Challenge? Looks remarkably similar

Ack! HDR! Other than the HDR (the sky was NOT really that blue, and I can see a corona around the towers!) these are fine shots.

Funny, I didn't see you there on the day, actually yes the sky WAS that blue.

Yep it's HDR, which is not something I would normally do for exploring, but these towers deserved to be shown in a more majestic light and it worked well. I could of course have shot them with a crappy point and shoot, but then I would expect crappy washed out images.

It's well worth the trek out to these before they are demolised by our friends at Eon!

I actually like the HDR shots here, it's not too overdone and I think it adds to the pics. Great shots :)
