A once bustling housing estate for nurses working at the General hospital in Leicester. The hospital began struggling to pay for the upkeep, and maintenance of the homes, and so in 2019 people moved out and the street became derelict, vandalised, and a magnet for antisocial behaviour.
Leicester council bought the land in 2021 with a 17million plan to build 135 affordable council homes. I haven't been back since, so unsure if the the new development has started.
I didn't hang around here too long it was a extremely intimidating area, and although a couple of the buildings were accessible, I didn't venture inside. I'm stupid, but not that stupid! Plus I could hear people talking in some of the buildings. So a quick walk around with Fatty the Pug I jumped back in the car and sped out of there lol. Was surprised my car still had the wheels on!
