The Belgian Roadtrip: Site 3
Early evening and I was in my comfort zone - a hospital. Serene and comforting, the buildings are being looked after; some are still in use, one previously in quite a state of decay is being converted and those now unused sit quietly awaiting their as yet undetermined fate.
The moment my feet land on the hospital floor always holds a thrill. The building was reasonably bare but contained enough of its former life to be of great interest. The atmosphere was calm yet we knew to be cautious given the number of people we had seen on our approach. Our third success now meant that we had entered more sites than we hadn't.
