Going through some old pics I stumbled upon one of the first explores I did.
I had a soft spot for these Northants semis, the location & view were excellent & I stumbled upon this while out on my bike not long after I got into urbex but unfortunately its now been flattened!
I believe this has been on here once but heres my take on it.
I first approached this place with a mate after seeing it & getting an inkling it was empty, we approached the side door with caution & found it unlocked & leading straight into a kitchen that appeared still fully stocked with food & a fridge still on which seemed odd!
My instinct told me to leave, but I couldn't resist the buzz of my new interest so shone a torch through to the living room where I could see a full set of furniture & a sofa that looked like it was slept on.
I grappled for the light & flicked the switch to unsurprisingly find it still live, but it was then that I heard it!
The clear sound of running water, a tap? no sounded too loud, a shower?
A sudden fear hit us both. We had just entered someone's house & they were possibly in the shower! Im not a bad runner, but would of gave bolt a good challenge on my way out of that place!
Roll on a few weeks & I realised I may of actually found something interesting and which may have a small window of opportunity, so I contacted a more experienced friend for a return visit.
With the additional confidence we were in in no time on this visit and things had changed, most notably the power was off & there was no noises that suggested we may run into a naked pensioner!
we quickly skirted the living room & realised the cause of my initial alarm was the fact that the cylinder had been ripped out of a downstairs cupboard leaving mains water pumping out for who knows how long!
Anyway this was actually a pair of houses with a smaller property to the left that had obviously been empty a lot longer as the roof was gone in places but it still had a few items of interest inside, the main house had quite a bit of stuff & a car in the quite sizeable outbuildings!
Shortly after this visit the houses were sealed up tight!
Unfortunately I was using a bad camera at this point & my inexperience left me with much fewer pics than I would of likes, so here's the best of what I did get!
