This is my first report, so be kind please Also, I'm not a photographer, neither is my girlfriend. We were armed with a Galaxy s3 and an iPhone 4.
Its not the most exciting Explore on this forum by a long shot... but everyone's gotta start somewhere
I initially went out with the intention of exploring an abandoned pub. It's been empty since 2003. I went on a scouting mission early on in the day and found an access point. But, when I returned a couple of hours later, there were some people gathered in the car park (right next to the access) on a makeshift tennis court.. So the idea of exploring the abandoned pub was abandoned!
Walking back to the car, we spotted these units and a convenient gap in some gates so in we went and our Urban Exploration virginity was taken
No History on these buildings I'm afraid. Except to say that one of the units looks like it was used to respray cars.
This is the outside of the shop.

and from inside the gate looking back out onto the street.

Inside the shop was pretty much empty. Looks like it's been left for a long time. Electrics have all been ripped out and there were bits of fire damage.

The ground floor was split between 2 levels

The stairs to the first floor were intact, but none of my photos were decent. Anyway.. here's the first floor.

Looking back towards the landing area through what was once an internal window, you can just make out the banister around the stairway.

It's a good job my girlfriend didn't venture inside with me. When I showed her this she said she'd of turned and ran straight back out again!

Looking through a hole in the ceiling into the loft space. I didn't fancy climbing up on my own so this will have to do I'm afraid. (I'm only 5'10")

Intact york sinks were everywhere on this site. I was shocked they were here considering the value of items like this...

This looked like some kind of pressure chamber...

Temperature and altitude dial... not smashed!!

On to the industrial units...
There were around 5 separate units, although it was difficult to tell where one ended and another begun due to the damage here so I won't break the pictures down too much. I thought there were some nice examples of nature taking back the building...
